Are you a necessity driven consumer or a luxury driven consumer... Here's what I mean:

You need a watch to tell time, and in today's world, that's a necessity... But are you going to pay 15 dollars for a plastic Casio even though you can afford to get the $2000 Rolex? Remember, a watch's function is to tell time... Are you willing to pay more for the brand, the name, the prestige, and the of course, for the luxury of having a "Rolex"? Or are you just going to stick with the 15 dollars Casio simply because you don't need a $2000 Rolex to tell you what time it is?

hmm.. well if I have enough money to buy a pretty brand named watch, which at the same time can fulfill my necessity then I will...

If i don't have enough money, necessity comes first of course....

Given that you have the money to buy the Rolex, why pay more for something that serves the same function as a cheaper one? What are you really paying for? And, do you think it's worth it?

It's not really the quality you're paying for, cuz they both serve the same function in telling time... And it's not like you'd be running late if you have a cheaper watch.

Honey, it's not really only a watch with one function--to tell time.

hehe... The watch is just an example to bring the point across... It doesn't have to be a watch, it could be anything that you buy. Afterall, we're all consumers no matter how cheap we are...

next option plz. :D

well... a watch for $2000? That's a bit insane, but i'm sure it shows society that you're living well... which makes you proud.... although u may buy that off ur credit card. :kk:

I only buy a quality watch, but only at a reasonable price...

so no I wouldn't waste my money... I love my plastịc in this case. :D

Okay, given that you're an upper-class citizen and that money is not a problem, would your decision change?

hehe... Personally, I think it's funny how people in today's society try so hard to show off to society even though hardly anyone cares. And it's some how supposed to make them feel proud simply because they process some materialistic item... If a person needs materialistic possession to make them feel proud of themself, then I'd say that's pretty sad. What do you think?
